Keeping the Promise Workshop

Keeping the Promise: Exploring how bringing focus, connection & method can accelerate change

Keeping the Promise is a massive ambiguous statement. Delegates from across the system in Scotland explored the benefits of applying a systematic approach that could help us to Keep the Promise to care experienced children and young people by 2030. Together we explored a variety of methods and supports that are available to support improvement in practice on the ground.

There is much improvement activity already underway. Participants connected around this and continued to help to identify new opportunities for sharing and learning. We were joined by colleagues from The Promise Scotland and from Glasgow and East Renfrewshire who shared their stories of improvement.

The session was highly interactive and we used the time to:

  • Hone our focus on where we most need it to Keep the Promise
  • Build connections across services to share our learning
  • Share how we best deploy a systematic approach to achieve positive change
